There's No Frolicking in Iran

While you're out tomorrow enjoying the lusty month of May, take a moment to appreciate the very basic freedoms you have. Then, take another moment to think about the people living under the mullocracy in Iran. Here's a sample of the philosophy they get to live under:

"Allah did not create man so that he could have fun. The aim of creation was for mankind to be put to the test through hardship and prayer. An Islamic regime must be serious in every field. There are no jokes in Islam. There is no humor in Islam. There is no fun in Islam. There can be no fun and joy in whatever is serious." Ayatollah Khomeini (1979) -- recounted in The Spirit of Allah.

Wow, what kind of messed up people does a regime like that produce? Well, I think we already know the answer to that. While toppling Saddam freed good Iraqis to build a new society for themselves, hopefully it will also embolden (I really want to say "enbiggen") Iranians to cast off the yolk of the Mullahs. So far, it seems to be having that effect.

Sounds like our Democrat Party but with taxes. Only allow you to keep enough money to pay for
basic necessities not not enough to spend and actually enjoy it. Sounds like this East Coast
Puritan attitude and why the Easterners always vote Democrat.
